101 Films, an Amcomri Entertainment Inc company, has confirmed all-rights’ acquisition of a number of high end independent movies for release in the UK and Ireland in 2021.

The headline title is Red48 (aka Red Hour), a pre-production acquisition starring Tyrese Gibson (“Fast & Furious 9”), John Malkovich (“Con Air”) and Michael Jai-White (“Dragged Across Concrete”) in a thriller filmed during COVID restrictions in LA. An ex-military operative, now working as a child protection services officer, must save an immigrant child from a dangerous criminal who has trapped them, and other hostages, in a superstore on Black Friday.

Mammon is a pre-buy acquisition from fellow Amcomri company 101 Films International, and is the second title in a co-production deal that 101 Films International has entered into with prolific producer Mike Hatton (“Green Book”) and his company Ton Of Hats.

Mammon stars Taye Diggs (“Chicago”), Michael Madsen (“Hateful Eight”) and Jessica Uberuaga (“The Fanatic”). A struggling young couple, Brad and Jess, chasing the American dream only to realize their worst nightmare when they discover a demonic spirit in their new home. Mammon is the biblical word for the worship of wealth, and the couple discover that getting rich can come at a hefty price.

Homewrecker is a psychological thriller starring Alex Essoe (“Dr Sleep”) as Michelle, a newly married thirty-something interior designer, who is guilted into making a new friend out of the forty-something Linda (Precious Chong) after one of their shared fitness classes. Convincing Michelle to stop by her house to consult on some redecorating, it’s quickly clear Linda is more than just lonely and is dangerously obsessive.

Far More  is a heart-warming film that tells the story of Sean, played by Adrian Grenier (“Entourage”), a successful fashion designer who hasn’t seen his family in years after being rejected by his father. He returns to his hometown for a painstaking family reunion that will take him back to his past only to rebuild his future.

101 Films has also acquired wrap-around rights to Diana: The Interview That Shook The World, from fellow Amcomri company, Abacus Media Rights. On 20th November 1995 BBC Panorama broadcast the scoop of the century. A candid interview with Princess Diana in which she broke every protocol exposing traumas and scandal of life in the royal household. 25 years later, this film looks at how the broadcasting event of the century was orchestrated, what the interview revealed about modern society and new insights into the psychological portrait of Diana herself.

And finally, for now, 101 Films has also acquired C.I. Ape in another  pre-production acquisition. In the world of espionage, some missions require an agent with a unique set of skills possessing not just bravery but an ability to melt even the most villainous heart. This is a job for C.I. Ape. This acquisition continues a strong, ongoing relationship between 101 Films and Ace Entertainment that has seen 5 movies acquired in recent years
