101 Films, an Amcomri Entertainment Inc company, has signed a joint venture arrangement with the recently launched independent distributor, (Yet) Another Distribution Company.
The joint venture sees one of the UK’s most successful independent film distributors, 101 Films, join forces with one-to-watch independent label (Yet) Another Distribution Company (YADC), for a line-up of fantastic feature releases for the home entertainment sector.
101 Films will handle sales, distribution, and marketing for the new venture and YADC will be responsible for acquisitions. Publicity will be handled by Aim Publicity.
YADC was launched this year by industry entrepreneur Phil Hunt, who is founder of Head Gear Investments and Bankside Sales and who also heads-up new distribution label, Bohemia Media, which amplifies stories from under-represented voices.
The joint venture has already secured content. The initial slate sees fun-filled festive comedy, Cup of Cheer making its digital debut and, to kick off 2021, there’s a rip-roaring sci-fi comedy adventure starring Scott Adkins (“Zero Dark Thirty”, “The Bourne Ultimatum”), John Hannah (“The Mummy”, “Four Weddings and a Funeral”), Isabelle Allen (“Les Misérables”, “Hetty Feather”) and the first female Bond Lashana Lynch (“No Time to Die”, “Captain Marvel”).
Other initial titles include Riot Girls, Paradise Z, Last Moment of Clarity which are set for release throughout 2021.
101 Films Managing Director Andy Lyon said “It’s a very exciting time to be a movie distributor with so many ways to now deliver content to consumers profitably. With the combination of 101 Films’ vast experience in distribution and Phil Hunt’s access to content through his other ventures, (Yet) Another Distribution Company and 101 Films is set to grow at an incredible rate through 2021 and beyond. We already have a forward slate from early 2021 with over 50 further movies currently under consideration”
(Yet) Another Distribution Company Managing Director Phil Hunt said: “Finally after a quarter of a century in the business, I’ve expanded into distribution and loving getting great stories out there. It’s only been possible with the huge help of 101 Films, Andy Lyon and his teams who are hard-working, honest, straightforward and great fun to work with”.
