UK-based sales firm 101 Films International, an Amcomri Entertainment Inc company, has acquired worldwide distribution rights, excluding North American and UK/IRE, for theatrical film Dreams on Fire from multi award-winning director Philippe McKie (Breaker, Be My First).

The first ever Japanese urban dance film, Dreams on Fire stars Bambi Naka (lead dancer on Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour and international icon), Akaji Maro (Kill Bill 1 & 2), Masahiro Takashima (Kingdom), Haruka Kurebayashi (Harajuku fashion icon), Rinomaru (popular idol group Akishibu Project member), Mika, Mirin and Yuriya (from the internationally recognized, widely acclaimed go-go dance crew CyberJapan).

Winner of the Audience award at Fantasia International Film Festival 2021, Dreams on Fire, also selected for the Glasgow Film Festival 2021 and the Dublin International Film Festival 2021, follows Yume (Bambi Naka), who becomes a dancer in Tokyo after running away from home and struggles against the harsh realities of what it takes to achieve success. She works as a hostess in the red-light district while taking dance lessons, refusing to abandon her ambitions.
