101 Films International, a new subsidiary of movie production and distribution business Amcomri Entertainment Inc (AMG), will expand the group’s reach into international distribution markets and improve its offer to independent filmmakers and content owners.

AMG Chairman Paul McGowan said that 101 Films International will build on the industry connections made over recent years through AMG’s businesses, in particular 101 Films, its UK-based movie distribution business.

“The new business will be aimed specifically at offering quality content distribution across all of the international film markets,” he said.

101 Films International will focus on commercially-driven feature films of all genres and budgets, representing projects at all stages of the filmmaking process and helping producers and distributors achieve maximum exposure for their films. The business will represent its clients at all major film markets, including Berlin, Filmart, MIPTV, Cannes, TIFF, MIPCOM and AFM.

CEO of 101 Films, Andy Lyon, confirmed that the new business will offer a strong perspective on the value of projects across all markets around the world. “We will work only with trusted partners to achieve the best and most reliable distribution network for each movie. This clarity and certainty will assist in the pre-funding of productions from the earliest possible position. And our network of national and international distributors will be challenged to achieve the maximum viable returns for content owners globally.”

101 Films International will be headed by Andy Lyon, together with Larry Howard of Amcomri Entertainment Inc.
